"JanSport is an American brand name of knapsacks, now owned by VF Firm, one of the world's biggest clothing business. The company was founded in 1967 in Seattle, Washington by Murray Pletz, his partner Janice "" Jan"" Lewis (for whom the company is called), and his cousin Miss Yowell. JanSport introduced with a panel-loading daypack, unlike traditional top-loading packs. In 1975 it presented the very first exchangeable travel pack as well as its trademark daypack. [3] In 1986, VF acquired JanSport's then moms and dad, Blue Bell.
